This ‘computer club’ is an outlet for our students to explore, play, learn and have fun with their classmates. My mission is to demystify computers through engaging activities that inspire our children to be the creators of technology rather than mere consumers. I continue to explore areas that pique the interest of our children so the offerings will change as I find new adventures awaiting us.

Who am I?

a techie:  I worked in server management for many years for the State of Texas and IBM.  My degree in Computer Science was sidelined when I started having my family but my curiosity has remained.  The constant evolution within this realm is exciting and keeps me hooked.

a parent:  I am a proud mother of two awesome girls.   I learn as much from them as they do from me.  They are creative and funny and prefer the outdoors, cardboard boxes, paint, sticks and stones.  They are dreamers and makers.  I can never find my scissors or tape.

a sensitive kid-at-heart:  Really, I am just the biggest, most responsible kid in the room.  I see these kids as little people and treat them the way I would want to be treated.  I also make sure that they are treating each other with respect.

So that is a little about me and what I am aiming for with this endeavor.  To those that have taken these first steps with me, thank you!  To those that have not, I look forward to sharing my knowledge of technology and passion for discovering new things with your child too!
